Texas TEFA families receive state funds to spend on approved educational expenses. TeachSmart services are structured to align with several eligible spending categories — all of which are uncapped and not subject to the 10% technology limit.
Annual ESA allotment per homeschooled student. Our Growth plan ($708/yr) represents about 35% of this allotment.

Every plan includes up to 3 children at no extra charge. If your family has more than 3 children, each additional child can be added for $5.99/month. There’s no limit to how many children you can add.
No. TeachSmart is available to any Texas family. If you have TEFA funds, TeachSmart services may qualify as eligible educational expenses. If you don’t have ESA funds, you can enroll directly and pay monthly. Cancel anytime.

No. All TeachSmart services are delivered to parents and guardians. Your child’s work (like writing samples) is submitted by you and feedback is returned to you. Our live Q&A sessions and workshops are for parents and guardians. You remain the educator — we give you the tools and support to do it with confidence.
The IEP Progress Tracker is a parent-facing documentation and progress tracking tool for families managing special education at home. It helps you organize IEP goals, generate formatted weekly progress notes, and maintain exportable records. It is not legal advice, therapy, or special education advocacy — families with contested IEPs should consult a licensed advocate or attorney.
